Default Tired Thumb, any relief???

When riding my bike I get a very sore thumb I was looking in the dirt wheels magazine and I see they have a advertisement for a Boyesen Thumb- throttle, So I was wondering if anybody out there knows what would be the best relief or if any one has tried this one.

Thanks Guys

I use a bolt-on extension on mine. It's long enough that you can palm the throttle and give your thumb a rest, otherwise it's not much different from the regular throttle lever. Cost about $20.

have you every rode with a twist throttle? I love mine, I didnt like the thumb throttle, hand was cramping all the time
you can get one for around $35/50 motion pro makes them. so it really all depends on what you like, twist or thumb?

Oh yeah..!.!.! Twist trottle is way mo' betta! Only thing is if you are not use to them you will learn fairly quickly after you eject the bike from under yourself on the whoops a few times!

stay away from the twister. you can losen up the unit and adjust it by twisting it foward or back and that may help you find some relief.

you can get extensoions for the thumb throttle but once you get used to it its not really that bad or you could get the twist throttle but I prefer the thumb. Wait til winter time comes around and its cold and your thumb starts to hurt.

I just keep my hand as close to the throttle assembly as I can, this way you can almost use your palm (but not quite, it's almost where your thumb begins actually) to move the lever. It's much more comfortable that way.

Thanks guys for the information, I am going to go withthe extension on the thumb throttle I really don't know if i can drive with a twist. Myself and three other guys went riding in some sand last night and the one guy has a sore wrist from the twist throttle so I think I will try to the extension on the throttle. Thanks for the info!!!

Stay away from the twist, a buddy had one on his scrambler and by riding in mud and such it stuck, and took off without him. Long story short, bent the frame and broke about 10 parts as it crashed into some hogwallows. Caution! The "Thumb Assist Pro" will not fit an Eiger or an Ozark. Make sure you keep the receipt and don't tear the package.
