hi guys i own a 92 lt250r and might be selling it. i might buy a 2004 400ex. its bored out to 440 and has a ct racing pipe. how much of a downgrade would it be. like would it be too slow for me coming off of my LT?

 

It is going to probably be a little slower, but it might get more power to the ground so you might not notice it too much from the seat.....

In a race I'd put my money on the LT but from the riders on seat perspective you won't be too disappointed.

 

Idk much about the lt250, but my 240 blaster would lose to my friends 400ex, and I'm the better rider. The 400ex is a great machine, I'd recomend it anyday. As far as it being slower than your 250, I'd say that it's just the typical 2 stroke vs. 4 stroke, they're different, but I'd say they would be about equal.
