hey i just bent my axle on my z and i was just wondering if there is anyway of fixing it?? or do i have to buy a new one?

 

you'll have to get a new one. you might get it somewhat bent back in place but Iwouldnt chance it. theres a lot of good axles made that are better than stock.

 

If you get one go with lifetime warranty....cuz axles ain't cheap...or not for my pockets anyhow [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]

 

i ahve an axle thats hardly bent and can prolly be strightened that im willing to get rid of [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]

 

I bent an axle on an old Suzuki quadrunner.....brought it into a machine shop and they straightened it no problem. I'm sure they could probably tell afterwards if its out a bit in case you are concerned. It shouldnt cost that much, and if you're not happy with the results, then buy a new one.

 

well the thing is that if you bend it once itll bend a ton of times because the metal gets weaker everytime. if you take it off you might as well put a new one in because its kind of a pain. but do get the limited warrantee one

This is true.

I straightened mine in a press at work. Its not perfect, but close enough. While racing I got hit on the same sid that I straightened. Bent the rim, not the axle.

 

a mechanic down my street straightened mine, if i wasent selling it i would have bought a new one. just looking at it, it looks perfect.
