Default Keihin 39mm on 88 LT250R?

I am thinking about getting a keihin 39 mm carb for my 88 lt250r and I was wondering if I will need a lt500 carb boot or what, and is there anything else I will have to change?
thanks

i would get an aftermaket pipe before the carb, u have some good stuff done to the motor. the 39 guna put some fuel in there and you have to let the exhaust out, the filters a good thing to have to. as for the zilla boot, i think the boost were only the same in 87, i have an 87 zilla boot on mine and it works great, im not sure about the other years though, if it doesnt work you will have to boil you boot in water and strech it over the carb, really a pain to do

You can use a zilla boot for an 88 250 quadracer. It just has to come off of an 88 - 90 zilla. (The size of the intake boot changed on both zilla's and 250's in 88.)

One thing to consider is that the zilla boot curves a little. Since you're already running a clamp on filter, this shouldn't be an issue though.
