cheep modz for ltz 400?????

Default cheep modz

does anybody kno of any cheep modz i can do to my ltz 400 besides the air filter!!!!!!!any air box modz or anything???

how cheap do you want to go? remove the air box lid and put a full exhaust on it and rejet .thats pretty basic

but if i remove the air box lid it will bogg out and die so dnt i need to rejet????and i dont know what the jet sizes are???

if you mean cheep like real cheep. uncork the muffler by cutting the center out of the end cap
or run without it all together ,remove air box lid, rejet to at least a 142.5 - 150. after that it starts to get expensive.

muck did say to rejet. if you remove the airbox lid, you will have to rejet - otherwise you'll be running too lean and risk damaging the engine. jetting is very specific to your altitude and setup, so there's no real formula. There's a Z400 owners forum web site - I can't remember the link. That has some good jetting tips.

Want another cheap mod for more torque? Go down (-1) tooth on the front sprocket.

so i just ask for main jett sizes 142.50 and 150????r they round jettz or what kinda jettz are they???because i have the stock jett sizes????

a 142.5 is one size jet. and 150 is another. there is probably 5 to 6 sizes between the 142.5 and the 150. the dealer will know what carb you have if its still stock . and remember the bigger the number the larger the jet

ohhhh ok i get it so am i gonna need to jettz or one jett for the carb????sorry for so many questions!!!!lol
