Default Eiger U-Joints

I have a 02 Eiger with 2800 miles on it, I just had the rear u-joint go bad ( squeeking & alot of play ). I removed it myself ( FUN! ) and went to the dealer for 1. They said $48.00 and they would have to order it. I checked online $45.00. I also called 2 other dealers in my area and nobody carries this u-joint!

I went to NAPA Auto Parts to see if they could cross it, They had to Mic, the whole Joint but came up with 1! -- Perfect fit! and is greaseable! AND!! $20.00 > NAPA -- and possibly less at Advance.

Anyone who would be interested in this info > The U-Joint that will fit is for a 1971 - 72 Datson / Nissan Pick-up, B600 Series.

Hows it working for you. I have a 2005 eiger and it looks like its the same part # just blew mine out and i have to replace the u-joint and both yokes, and you said its greaseable. How often does it need to be greesed.

Thanks jeff

U-Joint is working GREAT! I give it a shot of grease once a month. a bit of a PITA to replace but is well worth the saveings..

Let me know if you have any questions I'll try to help.

Good luck!

good info! NAPA is very reputable for finding parts that cross over!

just some more FYI, the company i work for has an account at a local machine shop that deals in heavy duty parts like rockwell, steerling, ect...! they also have alot of parts that are comprable to dealer parts!

the last u-joint i picked up for a friends susuki eiger cost $7.50, grease-able, heavy duty, made for a bush-hog, and other high rpm PTO driven equipment!! if that in't heavy duty enough i don't know what else you'd need. if somone is looking for a ujoint, and either has the part # that matches, or the OEM # i can get some more info on prices!!

If you still have the info i would love to get it. I went to NAPA, auto zone, advanced auto and a local tracker store and no one could match it. Im trying to get it back together before next weekend so if i cant fined anything by the weekend ill have to pay the $45 on line.

I'm pretty sure this is the NAPA part # NUJ2200028. I just looked it up on the NAPA site and it is for a 1971 - 72 Datson B series pick up.

Go to www.napaautoparts.com to get a pic and other info. You will have to use the datson vehicle to find it not the part #
