Default oil changes

mine takes 10w-40 and it's a '89. just ride it around and see if the ights get brighter, i don't know, or u can just leave the lights on all night then jump it in the morning and see if it charges, but the only thing is it might not get charged all the way and ruin your battery

Default oil changes

10W40 for summer, 5W30 for winter....gotta be motorcycle oil though NOT car oil...its different.....
and get a volt meter, set it on DC volts on the 20 volt scale...before you start the bike check the voltage between the + and - posts should be about 12.5ish vDC....start the bike, should be about 14ish vDC..if it doesn't change then your not charging...if it over about 14.5 vDC then you are overcharging and cooking the battery..
