Z250 owners, free rev box!
#1
Pro com is developing a rev box for the z250. They need 8 people to try one out and give feed back on it. All you need to do is call 949-837-8183, ask for jennifer and tell her you want to participate. After testing is done, you get a free one to keep.

Don't do it!
I had a Procomm CDI on my DS650. They advance the timing so much that the ignition would ignite too soon and kick back hard on the starter. It ended up breaking my sprag gear and the starter and coils. $900 plus repair. Procomm knew of this problem as several DS owners have had this happen and complained. They did nothing to inform the public or their customers of this fatal flaw. Check the Can-Am forum for details.

I have one on my kfx400 and no problems. Also it will be a prototype, you tell them about any problems and they adjust it according to that. Pro com is the largest manufacturer of cdi boxes period. Just because one person had a problem doesn't mean anything. He could have upped the compression. I have seen people on her have machanical problems with their z250s, does that mean its not a good bike? no. I have all kinds of mods done to mine and have yet to have a problem

I talked to procom today and they told me the cdi boxes they sell advance the timing 1 to 2 degrees. With the compression as low as the z250, you could advance the timing 10 degress and still not have a starting problem. DS650 does not = Z250. 2 TOTALLY different engines.
