Default KQ Camo Price

I was hoping to get a real price that people have spent on their KQ. I want the TOTAL price. I am talking Tax, License, dealer Prep. Please no "My Buddy's buddy friends prices. I am in the market and just want to be sure I am maximizing my opportunity. I was at Dealer today and we went round and round. Any Help would be appreciated. Can a Camo KQ be had for $8K out the door?

Thanks

The list price for the Camo is $7799. You should be able to get at least $500 off that with no BS fees added, such as prep or freight. Today since they are built in the states, they come fully assembled in the crate with the dealer only having to add the battery. With tax and plates, you should be right around $8000. Not sure how it is in Ca but the paperwork, license, and transfer here is about $100 or so. Here's how that plays out.

$7799
Disc- 500
= 7299
Doc+ 100
= 7399
tax= 592 (8%)
total= $7991

So I'd say you are on target to get your $8000 deal. Some areas you can do better but this would still be a very fair deal for you.

Topgun,
Your math lines up pretty much with I thought was realistic. The one dealer was killing me as they said it was going to be close to 9K. I was like Good Bye! I will continue my negotiations further tomorrow as all the delaers are closed out here in Cal on Sunday.

PD, I have been to 3 dealerships in the St. Louis area very recently along with getting quotes from the large volume dealers a few states away. I'm more in the market for a Rincon but those msrp for $7850 or $8200 for camo. I wanted a KQ once too and since they list for less this should be a fair comparison. One thing though is that you never mentioned if you were looking at an '06 or an '07....that $200 will make a difference on the msrp plus how many '06's does your dealer have and how bad do they want to get rid of them...if that is what you are looking for. I could get a '06 Rincon for $7000 (including EVERYTHING except tax, including tax then it would be right at $7600) but since you want all pricing then are you including finance charges or are you paying cash? That is another thing to consider because buying a car/atv is always THREE things.....#1 PRICE, #2 TRADE-IN VALUE, AND #3 FINANCING TERMS & Loan Rate. I'm sure you are, but pay attn to all three or they will give on one and get you on another.

Back to #'s...... the '07 Rincon camo lists for $400 MORE than the '07 camo KQ. I could have gotten that for $7500 BEFORE any last negotiations and that included EVERYTHING but tax. Tax at 8% would bring that to $8100.

I think that 8 TOTAL for a '07 KQ is DEF the drop dead HIGH END and way too high if you are looking at an '06. I think with a little home work, like you are doing now, that you could land $7500, or closer too than 8, for an '07.

You have to remember he is in Ca. They usually are higher priced out there for whatever reason. So $500 off list with no BS fees is not really that bad for that part of the country. Not everybody has an Abernathy's or Lake Hills Motors type dealer in their neck of the woods.

Here is a 2007 for $6,999.00 out the door, no taxes. You make your own deal with the Republic of California on taxes. Don't know about shipping.

Shipping is about $400-500. So now you are up to $7400+. Add the tax when you return to the state and register it, you're right back at $8000 with no dealer support. Sure they are supposed to fix warranty issues but I'd bet you get better service if you buy from them. No savings going this route anyways, why even go through the hassle.

Not sure how Ca is but in my state, it is illegal to not register your machine even if you ride only on your own property. So when you register, they will collect the tax.

Thanks for all the responses. I very much appreciate it. I really feel that I should be able to get a 07 Camo KQ out the door Tax, lic and dealer prep BS for no more than $8K and that should include the $59.95 winch that Suzuki is offering. That is the deal I am going to work at them tomorrow. I am going to call a few others. I have been working with the dealer where I bought my 2004 Eiger. I got a fantastic deal with the Eiger and expect no less for the KQ. Here is the last comment the sales guy said before I left, "He did not have a 07 Camo model at his place and would have to pay to get one from another dealer". I said well then tell me the delaer that has it and I will go to them....HAHAHA. He did not tell me. So I am going to call around. I am betting even money he has one in his warehouse they they all pull inventory from. He is just trying to pull one over on me.

I will keep you all updated as this materialize just for people that might be interested. And Yes California is the toughest place to buy any type of vehicle. Why cannot it just be like anything else, there is a price on it that is competitive and you like the price or you do not. This manure of sales rep going to the sales manager then this bartering BS is for the birds.

Well I bit the bullet today and bought my Camo KQ today. I should take delivery on Thursday. They had to order and have transported from another dealer. OTD was $8005 this includes the Warn Winch.
