Default yes, another z400 jetting issue........

I know theres been a lot of posts of people with jetting issues with their z400, but none of those posts really answer my question, and thats why i posted this.

heres the story:

My dealer told me that i need to jet my stock 06 z400 to addapt to the cold weather that i'm riding in here in canada, and they told me to change the stock 130 main jet to a 142.5 main. I put the jet in and took it out for a ride tonight and took a glance at my headers and they were glowing orange. When i put the jet in, i just put it in and didn't touch anything else. I'm new at all this jetting stuff and have only owned a quad for 2 months so i probably did something wrong.

Any help would be great!

thanks a lot,

it runs great with the 130 main in it, but the header glows a lot brighter with it than with the 142.5

with the 142.5, there seems to be a bit less power and at certain higher rpms it seems to sputter.

Think if i put a 135 main and a bigger pilot jet it would stop glowing?

I just went out and got one of them dyno jet kits. Gonna put that in. Says to put the jet in according to my alitiude, turn the fuel screw out 3 &1/2 turns and move the clip to knotch 3.

Hopefully this works.
