Hi, i am new to this forum and new to the world of quads and sport atv's. i have recently been riding a honda trx 250 of a friend, it was fun for a while but now it just feels underpowered and too small . Now i am lucky enough to buy a new atv and have been looking at alot of models and narrowed them down to only the ones which have reverse and i think it wil be quite usefull no? the ones i have chosen are the predator 500, raptor 660 , and the suzuki 400 2007.
now, i think i am going to buy the suzuki as i have heard soo many good things about it. But the only thing that concerns me is power of the suzuki.
is it much less than the oponents? will it blow my mind away compared to the honda 250? as it is alot of money i dont want to buy something which is underpowered compared to oponents. and i just need some basic info on the quads.
Thanks alot!!!!

I was in the same shoes as you about 6 months ago....which quad to get....
If you keep reading all the threads in here about best quad, the most common answer you will find will be the Z400....even though the rappy and pred have more displacement, you cant compete with the z400s' reliabilaty and handleing....
if your goin to do mostly trail riding or dunes i'd definatly go with the z400, tons of aftermarket parts to make this thing RIP and i never have problems keeping up to any bike in the tight trails ( like rappy or pred), your smart for going with reverse
even though rap and pred are faster in open drags, they are tippy and not built as well as the suzuki
and compairing a z400 to a 250ex? HAHAHAH a z400 will beat a 400ex by a good amount in a drag , a 250ex is a JOKE
just keep researching this topic and youll find out which is best, i went with the quad best suiting for my riding conditions (Dvx400 clone of the z400), and i couldnt be happier. hope this helps

well i know there are some companies that do international shipping....but i bet its expensive as hell to ship over seas.....but if you have suzuki dealerships near u to buy the z400, they should beable to order exhausts and other hop-up parts for decent prices....
man suppostly the 400ex is the wheelie king but i can do like quarter mile wheelies from 2nd gear all the way to fifth on my dvx400
just gotta find that balance point and keep the throttle steddy

i dont even have have to touch the clutch when doing 1st ,second or third gear wheelies.....just sit a lil farther back on the seat, reef on the handlebars and punch the throttle....front tires come up like nothing....might need a lil bit of clutch help for gettin wheels off in 4th gear...i cant get them up in 5th though....
