Jus do a full exhaust, jet it and take the air lid off. You won't get much out of the lil 250, I have been there and done that. Its a waste of money. Just ride it and enjoy it the way it is. When you get ready for a bigger bike step up to a 400/450. The cam in mine made the biggest difference. But still, with all I have done to it, I was still getting smoked. It was a lil faster than stock 300EX. Just save your money, ride/enjoy it, its a fun lil trail bike. Learn how to ride well and upgrade later. If you insist on making it faster, I'll sell you whatever you want off my bike. I have a header, rev box, jetted stock carb or a 32mm jettted bigger carb, a manual clutch conversion, web cam, valve springs, wiseco piston with less than 10 hours on it, Ported head.....some of the stuff i'll need your stock stuff in exchange.

Ok, now that I'm done with that back to the original question. I'd have to agree with LTZGUY. Just learn to ride the stock quad and then when it gets really boring upgrade to something bigger. For the amount of money that you'd dump into it, I don't think the results would be satisfactory.

Wel im jus bein honest. I hate that I spent all that money to get no where. I guess you call it a learning experience. I now know how to work on atvs so I guess it was worth something. With all the thing I have done to my 250, my 400 completely stock with a fouled plug will stomp a mudhole in my 250's rear....lol. It has been a very reliable and good bike. i would definately recommend it to beginners who don't want any problems.
