Default LTR-R 450 Owners...How are they?

I was just wondering how everybody likes their Zuki 450's.. Would u buy them all over if u were in the market again? Is it worth the extra $400-$500 over the YFZ and TRX?? i wont be riding in tight areas so width wont be a problem.. How do the 18" stock tires do on trails?..
Thanks for all the help..

Hey man, i am on a different thread with you talking about the width of these things. I have not yet ridden this thing on a trail so i cant tell you how it is on dirt, but on ice its a different story. All around my friends like it over their trx's and outlaws and so forth. The small wheels help a lot, more torqe. On ice smaller wheels are bad but i still win in a drag race against trx's. On the dirt i plan on really smoking them. i have a cherry bomb installed but its hard to see results on hp robbing ice. I'm thinking about the yosh exhasut but i'm not sure i need that much more power for trail riding. On ice its wicked and i know that ice really steals power on quads so i can wait till spring. the only problem is the width, its an inch over. Technically you can be stopped by a dnr officer and fined. i'm going to really look into taking it down and inch. i dont know how but i will figure it out. Another thing !!!!!!!!!EFI!!!!!!!!! never jet again!!! not only does the internal computer compensate for elevation and climate, it will remap (rejet) whenever modified (like a pipe) automaticaly. plus efi will starts in winter with no problem. I went this whole winter with no more than 3 seconds on the ignition to start. my opinion the best of all 450, get a new 06 instead of the 07 Same quard all around but i got mine 1300 off price. came out to 5900 for a brand new 06 ltr450 nice!!

sweet dude. So with that efi stuff all you have to do is plug in the cherrry bomb? is that kind of like rejetting? I suggest for you to check out Rossier pipes... (www.rossiereng.com) stock LT-R=37.8 HP...With a full Rossier exhaust, airbox lid removed, and cherry bomb its suppose to have around 48 HP...if you go on their website they show the dyno runs...Good luck with what ever you get...I probably wont be getting a new wheeler til april or so but im interested in all of the 450's excluding kawi...and the 700 Raptor....LoL...hows that snowstorm doing by u in GB?

i think you should be asking where everyone rides when they say they own one...

I'm mostly pretty tight trails and dunes so i think id probably get the raptor700 or kawi450 if i was to choose again...

i wonder why the ltr is more then the trx and yfz?

Yeah we got hit with about 10 inches or so here, i was thinking about riding the quad on the road instead of my truck. Yeah al you do is just plug in the cherry bomb real easy, but i didn't see much of a difference. but its hard to on ice.

the trails i ride are anywhere between 8 and 12 feet in width, its gonna be a tight fit with the LTR when passing but its only 2 inches wider than my last quad so.....

idk i love mine, dirt, ice, snow, anything... love it. but if was to buy over again. i would buy a TRX450 over it because they feel a LOT better in the air. im trying to find somone to trade me for a TRX. if anyone knows anyone that wants to do that kind of trade let me know...

I love mine. I would definetely buy another if I was looking. The money is worth it, you get the extra width and EFI. You dont need to worry about getting stopped and getting a ticket for the width, Ive had mine out on the trails for a year now without a problem. The 18's do fine for the trails, I havent really noticed them that much.

About the EFI, it will only compensate for elevation and tempurature. If you add a pipe you will have to buy a cherrybomb or something similar. If you plan on adding more later on such as a cam or piston, youll need to get an EFI programer.
