Z400, lower and widen it mod ideas.
I am looking to widen and lower my z400 for better stability and such. Not necessarily the ground clearance for lowering, but maybe just relating to the center of gravity? Will tires help this? Also, what can I do with the shocks?
Also for widening it i am considering wheel spacers. Any other thoughts, comments, suggestions?

i wouldnt jump it at all with wheel spacers. i know a few people that had those spacers on their bikes and they eventually bent their axle. The axle isnt made for that. it will bend alot easier with them on there. if your going to take the chance, start saving your money for a new axle.

Ok. Any other thoughts or suggestions to widen it out and lower it? Would new rear tires help? Is there a decent, cheap rear axle and a-arms to consider?
Also, how do I know if my suspension is broken in properly (brand new) and when it is, what are tips and suggestions to know I have them setup properly for me.

for an axle definatly look at the G force axle on RockyMountain ... great deal for 200 bucks...
as for the front... i think the best way to do it is to go to ALba action and buy the +2 a arm/ elka shock combo for 750
id take alba a arms over ebay a arms any day, plus you get Elka REc shocks and brake lines....
