Default New 07 Eiger, Thanks

New to forum, and just wanted to thank you guys for good info. I've been doing lots of research and reading on this forum trying to decide what ATV to buy. Finally decided on the Eiger ( 07 auto., 2500 Warn ). I do alot of hunting in some messy swamp areas. only had it out twice but so far have really enjoyed it. It's been a nice upgrade from my old 01, 220 Bayou.
Do have one question, the cooling fan seems to come on alot, it's been in the 80's here, is that normal for a new machine?
Thanks again.

mine comes on for maybe 30-45 seconds at a time. How long is yours running?

Can't wait to strap some deer on mine. Season starts September here in NC.
My fan seems to be staying on longer than that, maybe 2 to 4 minutes.

Stock Eigers are a little on the lean side causing them to run a little hotter. As long as that fan runs - life is good. I rejetted my eiger and my fan rarely comes on anymore plus the performance I get now is better than stock. Their is some lengthy post in this forum on rejetting eigers. Just do a search and you will find them.

I switched to synthetic motor oil and noticed a decrease in how often my fan came on. Then did the rejet and now mine only comes on when driving slow under a load for extended period of time. Strongly recommend the rejet.

I have read some of the threads on the jetting. Real quick how long did it take you tp do it? Did you get the jet kit at you dealer or did you order from some where?

I bought my kit at performance shop - I can't remember what I paid for it but it came with jets, filter, and prefilter. It took me less than 2 hours and I was not rushing. This included cleaning the carb. Really quite simply to do.

Couple of hours to install and fine tune pilot jet adjustment. Purchased online for about $50. Definitely worth the $$ and time.
