Which 250cc utility ATV is better?

The suzuki ozark, kawasaki bayou, honda recon, or yamaha big bear? Which one is the fastest, which one is the most reliable and which one would do better on jumps?

1st - Ozark and Recon (tie)
2nd - Big Bear
3rd - Bayou
Both the Bayou and BB are very old designs and show it in comparison to the Ozark and Recon.
The Ozark is just a touch faster than a Recon and has a little more suspension and ground clearance. The shifting on the Ozark is not as smooth as the Recon. Some '02 model Ozarks had reports of welds breaking on jumps but keep in mind tht these are utilities, not sport bikes.

I was deciding among the same ATV?s a half year ago. I chose the Ozark because of :
- Better ground clearance
- Lowest weight
- Bigger suspension travel
- More horsepower
- Bigger fuel tank
- Front disc brakes
I am satisfied with Ozark and would choose it again. But the other models should be fine too. Good choice!

This post is spot on!!! There are some things the Honda does better and there are some things the Suzuki does better. I needed the extra ground clearance so I got the Ozark.

We have the Ozark and like it but you might also consider the Polaris Hawkeye 4X2. It's a 300 but in the same price range as the Ozark. There is a 4X4 Hawkeye also but it costs quite a bit more.

ozark is a great quad and from what ive learned through 3 years of daily hard riding it is pretty much indestructable. great quad for the money and easily the most fun to ride 250 on the market
