Well they are the fastest production ATV ever made. as for finding one, i have only seen 2 of them in person my whole life, and one of them are mine, the other is my neighbors. so far mine has been reliable, the 87's tend to have head gasket issues but i have yet to have a problem. if you like arm ripping power through all of the gears, then youll love one. and these things can be built to haul a$$ while still being reliable, contrary to others beliefs.

I agree that they are fast, but they are also very heavy, huge, and depending on the machine you may need to find a 800 lb one legged pet gorrilla to start it! My friend had one, had the motor completely rebuilt, i mean completely, and we still had to pull it to get it started. He finally got sick of it not starting, sold it for 2k and put that down on a new raptor 700.

Now if your looking for a fun 2 stroke you cant go wrong with a honda 250r. Mine is an 86 ported, paul turner national pipe, 38mm airstryker carb, cool head, race gas only, but I could smoke that zilla by six lengths

If timing and Jetting are right, starting it should be no problem.

I know that putting a Kehin(sp?) PWK 39mm makes them start really easy.

how do you think that the zilla is heavy? it weighs the same as a raptor 660 dry weight... 390 pounds. and i dont see how people say zillas are hard to start. im 130 pounds, no muscle, pretty much skin and bones and i can start mine in 2 kicks MAX.....

I guess some are just finiky, my freind had his totally redone new stator, coil, cdi, crank, new top end. We could never get it to start. Im 6'0" 290 lbs and my buddy is 6'5" 330 lbs And we could kick it untill our legs fell off, nothing. Hook it up to another quad drag it and it would fire right up. The bike ran great, just couldnt start it. And as for it being heavy, I know it weighs the same as my raptor but, I also think my raptor is a pig. My 250 weighs about 290 full of gas!!

Fulltilt:
Too bad your buddy sold his machine before we talked. It was the settings on the carb that gave you your troubles. I am not as good at describing the issues as the good doctor but jetting and float settings were your issue. My machines fire on the first kick everytime although it does take some muscle to kick over. The machine is not heavy compared to your 250 as your 250 is the lightest performance ATV ever produced - close to several 250cc two strokes. If you have issues with the weight you could always build a hybrid lt250 frame and 500 motor. Best of both worlds.
