KQ 700 VDI ECU dyno results
#1
I don't know how many King Quad 700 owners are still on here but VDI has FINALLY posted some concrete information for their replacement ECU for the King Quad 700 and AC 700. Their dyno sheets they've posted are HUGE gains from an ECU, they are seeing 21% HP increases from idle to redline at full throttle runs...but get this, at part throttle runs they are seeing 40% more power! This is truely going to be the ultimiate plug and play mod for the King Quad. For the dyno sheet on this ECU, you can go to their website and click the "Projects" tab...or you can click the Nyroc ATV forum link that'll take you to the most up to date information where VDI consistantly updates it with new information.

Let's hope it finally actually makes it to market. They're claiming it is in production and will be available in may. Then again you know how many times we've heard the old "it's in final testing and will be out next month" line before.
It's been quite the mythical beastie so far. Very Delayed Introduction indeed.

Well this one is really coming out, there's no doubt about it...unless VDI wants to ruin it's reputation...no it's coming out b/c VDI has spent a lot of money on this project and been working on it for the past 8 months.
VDI initially set a release date near the end of Summer 2006, I don't know how they could be that far of even if it's an estimation...I guess these things take their time, but you'd think that they'd know how complicated this was... so that makes me wonder why they set the release date some 6 months to early. 6 months is a LONG delay.

Well as ya'll know, they are prettty much "creating" a whole new ecu not just adapting to the old one. Who would have thought that Suzuki had turned that machine down so much and left all the bugs in the system, actually I think now it's clear actually, they built a motor to build on, now soon looking at releasing into market a KQ 750/800. My hat's off to Lyle and that bunch up there, they may have jumped the gun a little on the date, but by the numbers, they surely didn't bite off more then they could chew. Don't forget to e-mail them and get on the list.
