Default Running alcohol in an LTR-450

Does anyone know if the factory fuel injection can be modified to accept alcohol?

I think you can just pour it in, BUT you would have to dyno tune it for sure and that could take a lil bit. I don't know that much about machines running alcohol except I think you have to richen up the mixture quite a bit.

i think it might work, but your machine will run like s%$. you would have to get a special efi ignition box. the reason for this is that alky burns twice as fast, and tiwce as hot. i would't run alky in your 450, could cost some $ to get it to work well. but if you were still wanting to go farther i would call up FTZ they are one the best atv shops, when it comes to alky. not sure of their number, think there internet address is www.ftv.com.

My jr.dragster runs on alcohol and it burns really quick. In a quart of a tank i have enough fuel to do the 1/8 mile and back twice. thats it.

Yeah, but that has nothing to do with the topic.

you could sure try it .. if you have a controler . richen the crud out of it and see if it goes rich enuf.... if not no it wont work . even if it dont work you could still locate a bigger injector and make it work .
