how much does it cost to keep an lt250r or trx250r running? how many rebuilds?

how much does it cost to maintain an lt250r? as in how often do you have to do rebuilds?
I put in about 100hours per year, so every "how many" years do i have to do a rebuild? (and what does it consist of anyway? piston and/or rings, gaskets, what else?)
and how much money does it cost each time when a rebuild is done?
Some people say that pretty soon companies will stop making parts for them, so would it be wise to keep a supply of pistons, etc, or would they corrode/rust after a while (or do they ship in airtight bags/containers?)
PS: Could the transmission be worn out and start breaking on a quad from the 1980s? (because if they ride it 100 hours each year for 20 years, that is 2000 hours, and if you drove a car at 60mph for 2000 hours, that means 120,000miles on the car- and most breakdowns occur in cars with over 120,000miles on them)

You dont have to rebuild a four stroke engine unless you have a 400^ and you race. Or if you blow up a 250 engine which is almost in possible. all you have to do is change the oil.
