Default STOPPIES!

Ok. I have been trying to do stoppies forever. My Z wont do em. I think my front suspension (WORKS aftermarket suspension) is set too soft. I cant get the rear end off the ground no matter how much body english or brake force I use the fronts just lock up and slide. Any ideas. And HI everyone. Havent posted in about a year!

Well, I am pretty good at stoppies in general. Like on mountain bikes and balancing and all. Tires sliding is not a good thing. If the front tires arent planting then I am not stopping as good as I could.

I doubt it is because your shocks are to soft. I would say they are to hard. I can probally flip my raptor over doing a stoppie

I was on my 85 honda 125 trying to go down a hill slowly with probably a 70degree angle and hit the front brakes too hard and rode the front wheels down 10ft...thats scary! lol

Well, do I not weigh enough? My friend who is about 50 more pounds than me can get the rear end off the ground on my Z. So it can do em. I try getting as much weight over the front tires as I can but it wont come up. No way are my shocks TOO soft. Tires?

i'd say that you aren't getting enough speed!! if you wanna do a stoppie and do it right you don't just stop so fast your wheels come off the ground!! you have to get more speed, get your rear end up, and then keep it up as you come to a slow stop!! if your front tires are sliding though i'd say more speed and just squeeze and balance until you get it man!! a real stoppie is more technical than a lot of people think!! just keep practicing and i'm sure you'll get it!! the z can do it though!! what do you weigh??
