Default Another question about QUADZILLA

The quadzilla im going to buy is an 87 and its been blown up twice. The guy says that i have at least one to two rebuilds left in it. Do they still run good after rebulilds. I was woundering if its worth the money. Theres nothing wrong with it besides that and i was planning on swaping motors witha 90. Hes selling it to me for 1200 dollars. Any feed back would be awsome. Thanks.

if whoever rebiult it done it right it should be just as reliable as brand new. i bought mine after the guy who sold it shattered the piston and had to resleeve the cylinder. i bought it over 3 years ago and havent had one problem with it. 1200 sounds like a really good deal if its in good condition. just curious but why do you want to witch to the 90 motor? the 87's have a larger intake thn the later years. so they have just a little bit more power.

Its all in the Builder, check out LT250/LT500HQ read up on a guy called Dr Q the man knows Zillas, he has been working on them since 87, some might even run better last longer when done correctly, the secret is setting up the piston right with Q's RX fabrications and his costing is mor ethan fair, and the right port work to add.
too many fast food porters putting in there ideal of portwork with no testing, Q's works and runs and last!

I've been told the 87 blows head gaskets sometimes because of the 6 bolt head.Someone told me that there is a way of fixing this problem but I cant remember who does it.Might get online and hunt for them. But I've heard some guys on here have never had this head problem.
