Default solution to handle grip sliding !!!!!!!!

scuff up the bars and use <u>liquid nails</u>. you dont need alot, it drys in about 10 min, then ur set to ride, and they will never slip again.

gasoline works better and dries faster, its been used since grips were invented........

why the hell would gasoline make the grips stick to the bar?

it cleans the bars and actually sorta melts the grips a little I believe, I always scuff up my bars with sandpaper clean them and use grip stick from scott

i always use paint or hairspray. sometimes paint will melt the grips depending on which kind.

Just wanted to throw this in the hat, my father builds custom golf clubs and he has always said to use lighter fluid when attaching any type of grip, I have used it many times and it has never failed me, similair to gasoline it does the same things as far as gumming up the grips and what not but once its dry you cant slide the grip anywhere and the only way its coming off is if is cut off. I figured if it worked for golf club grips it cetainly would work for our bikes.

hairspray does not work well. spray paint FTW.

Really?

I like this thread.

I find this kind of info much more useful than the typical "Which of these quads is faster?" threads.
