Hey guys i just got the athena 435 piston kit put on my z400 and i have noticed a lot more power already, but now my question is what else?

What cams should i put in?
What Carb should i run?

and what else should i do to get the most out of my new engine?

 

with the new piston I would go with a full exhaust if you havent done it already, web or hot cams, depends on what you like. I like hotcams, rejet your carb unless you want to spend $300-$600 on a new FCR. get a good CDI box/rev limiter. Dyna has a nice one, have the head ported and polished, get new racing valves and springs, theres lots you can do to it but it all depends on how much $$$$$$ you want to spend

 

i already have a yoshi full exhaust, i guess my biggest question would just be our the cams worth the money, and are they easy to do yourself or would i have to have a shop put them in for me.

 

cams are worth it, if you have the time you can do them your self, but if you have never done it then let somebody else do it for you unless you want to learn how its done, then buy the service manual and do it yourself, it will take you some time shimming the valves

how much difference did the big bore make? I just ordered the athena for mine. I'll be puttin it together tonight.
