What you mean valves were loose? Is it a overhead cam?

Default help me please!!!

the cliccking in the motor was caused by the loose valves
and i didnt get around to fixing them
could the valves caused any of this or would it be somthing else
and its a new spark plug and the carb was recently cleaned

Well if the valves arent seating yes of course (I have been there with mx'ers). I would check the clearences, they will have gone to zero clearence if the seats are shot.

You said about the motor not turning over? Is it locked up?

well it sounds like it wants to start but it wont
and the motor is not locked up
but my mechanic said i needed to tighten the valves
but he pulled his arm and we didnt get to do it
im just getting opinions on what possibly could have went wrong before we go and take the motor apart and its something simple

I persume its an over head cam. If it is over time the valves tighten, not loosen (this is mx'ers anyway) You will have to shim them. But I would say seen as its an 03 I can only persume it has a good few hours on it. A valve job would do no harm. Do you have a manual? Cheack the clearencs, it is very simple to do and it will tell you if you need shimming or not.
