ltr 450 hot pipe

I have an 2006 ltr 450 I noticed that my pipe was glowing red hot orange ,is this normal???? don't ride it much at night but i have never noticed this before. any advice thanks radwheeler.

the only thing i can think of is that you were riding it way too long, otherwise i never seen \ heard anything like it ???
