Today i was driving around on my 2005 Z-400 and it started to backfire. I stopped and it stalled after idoling for a couple seconds in neutral. The neutral light was barely lighting up and when i reved it up it would fade out. After it stalled there was no electrical power at all so i had to bum start it to get home. Im not sure if the battery is worn out or something else is wrong?

 

start with the battery and work your way out from there ........

 

More than likely it's the battery. My brother has a z400 and we could not get it to run. We pushed started it, but it just backfired. Replaced the battery and she was good as new...
