Default king quad 450

and how are they for handling, power and fuel milage? are they a dependable bike w/ any issues? how long has the engine been around. thanks.

I have one love it so far. The air filters leave a lot to be desired.seems to have plenty of power. As far as handling the only thing I have to compare it to is a Honda big red three wheeler but I like it .

about 30 miles a gallon did 68 miles one way and it was a tad over 2 gallons gone . but it was fast smooth trails. its comfy nice power.

KQ 450 in 500 Utility shootout.

It even came in 1st.

so whats wrong w/ the filter? bad location, gets dirty easly? how deep in the water can you go/ thanks for the info guys.

The problem is the filter lets dirt in the intake.With about 65 mile on the bike I took the filter off and looked down inside and was amazed the amount of dirt the was in the throttle body. Replaced the filter with a K&N and it also fixed the backfiring on decleration..

I seen alot of post on other sires that people ruined in there 700 kingquads from the bad filters on these bikes If you get one change the filter to an aftermarket filter.

thanks for the good info. i'll take under advisement. not too sure if i like that idear about the dirt and i see in the shoot out as well that they say it back fires on decel.

like I said I haven't seen any dirt since the filter change nor heard any backfiring. I think the increased air flow from the K&N fixed that
