apparently pipe is supposed to let more exhaust flow, which is supposed to mean you can have more fuel & air to burn = more power. So a larger jet will allow more fuel through. also, a better air filter, or no air box lid (if your riding conditions permit), will allow more air to mix with more fuel.
we got a Dyno-jet kit. It had various jet sizes and a chart explaining which jet to use under various circumstances. The funny thing is, with our Yoshi pipe & K&N filter, it recommended a 128 jet, which is smaller than the stock 132 jet (we leave our lid on). IF we were to remove the air lid, then it recommends the larger than stock jets. anyways, we're very happy with the performance following Dyno-jet's recommendations.

Yo, good question ZRIDER92. I just bought a K&N filter kit and I plan on leaving the lid off. I also bought a filter skin to replace the lid at ALBA. Not bad of a deal. I ride sea level up to 3000 ft. By the way I have the YOSHI slip-on + a REVMAX CDI to keep from hitting the rev limiter at the dunes. I heard the DJ kit is sized different. May be a good idea to use the same MIKUNI jets. HELP......

With the lid off and using an Outwears lid cover and an aftermarket exhaust Just go to the dealer and get OEM jets. Forget the dyno jet kits there Junk!
Mines running perfect with a 160 main and a 25 pilot. The needle I played with several times and stock is perfect.

I don't agree that Dyno-jets are "junk", but I do agree it's a waste of money to buy their kit with 20 different jets when you only need one or two jets. If you know the jet size you need, I'd agree with just getting that size only for $5, instead of spending $50 on a box of them.

Not a big fan of Dyno Jets. It can definitely be done cheaper like CamoKodiak stated. Just make sure the dealer actually sells you a genuine Mikuni jet.

Alba does sell a jet kit for $30.00 if I remember correctly. It includes main, pilot, and needle. Thats where I got mine awhile back. $30.00 alot cheaper than $50.00 - $60.00. Plus you get the pilot also!!!
