Default LT 250R...

1992 model... have some questions as I am thinking about buying one.

I have found one in pretty good shape, but I have never owned one, so here goes...

1. How fast are these stock?
2. Is the 2 stroke 250 easily maintaned?
3. Any problems?

I have one.
Very fast, you just got to have the right tires. :] I have surtracks right now. All they do is spin spin spin. Especially when I'm dragging.

They are very easy to maintain, just keep the chain tight, clean the plug every once in a while, clean the carb, you know, basic tune-ups.

I don't know really of any problems, I haven't had any for me. Except that the carb is real hard to fit back in where it goes. But that is because I have boysen reed spacer. Also, i've heard some rumor's on the frame is a bit weak at some points. I jump mine all the time at MX tracks [pics in profile..] and it has held up great. And mine [I've heard of some others also..] vibrates alot. I am pretty sure it's just the counter balancer that is off a bit, but i've been too lazy to check it. I'm used to it. I haven't had any real problems at all with it. It's a great, fast quad. It starts 2-5 kicks, every time.

I'd say, buy it.
