break-in on a z400

Default break-in on a z400

this website says to run it hard in 2nd 3rd and 4th gear but it dont say how long you ride it like this or rev it high in rpms to correctly seal the rings...could you guys tell me if yall agree and how long would i have to run it like this?

Honestly, just ride it like you normally would. Don't redline the damn thing,just ride it. You want the RPM's to flucuate. Do that for about 2-3 hours and dump the oil and replace.

thats what i was told was to ride it hard but dont use brakes let the engine stop you this site says that decelleration or engine breaking is just as important as reving it up....it also says that a easy and slow break-in wont get the full power out of the motor..........tell me if you agree with that i understand the redline part lmao let me know if what i just said sounds right to you it also says dont use synthetic oil for the first 20 miles

I have done this to both my quad's...& can say it works great....

thanks guy i just wanted to make sure what i was told was correct because i dont want to go spend 7500 on a new quad and break it in wrong and have to fix it...


and zbutcher the link you provided the same site i went to to get the iinfo

yeah you actually did help cuz i wasnt so sure about that kind of break in till you provided me with the same link which made me possitive that was the correct way so you actually helped more then you think
