What I find hilarious an shocking is 7-10 grand for a quad is ridiculous to begin with.Whats even more shocking is at 10 grand Ktm might not be even race ready .THe worse part of the whole thing Is I cant even believe people buying into this media and magazine crap that it needs different an more way more expensive suspension.I can see if your a top 5-10 racer but most people cant even use all the motor an suspension of a stock or even modded bike.Id set up the suspension to my weight an riding style an do the basics to the motor,jetting pipe filter ,maybe cam or porting an leave it alone.Go ride an have fun an not go broke trying to worry about who ya can blow into the weeds unless your making big money racing.Give doug gust the stock machine an you take the modded 1 and he'd still beat ya.Of course all the big sponsors want to sell there wares so theyll put em on a racers quad there sponsoring. I know some will agree w me an some wont just my 2 cents.

 

Its because the US dollar is worthless that they cost so much. A $7000 quad today would cost $4400 in 1990 dollars. And that's just using the government's numbers for inflation. I bet the REAL cost would be $3500 or so in 1990 dollars. Just for kicks, in 1950 dollars its $800. And in 1913 its about $300 (close to a yr's wages back then, lol). Today people routinely make $100,000 a yr +,,, so they really don't give a rat's azz what the dollar is worth overseas.
