Default 2003 z400 exhaust

I was recently told that i could take the baffle out of the exhaust pipe of my 2003 z400 to get a little more power. Is this true and if so how is this done.

No, it will give it more sound and a little boost in power, uncorked this bike runs pretty good in stock form.

IMHO i would bump up the jetting ,remove the air box lid and the end cap,go to a 142 main. you may need to adjust the fuel screw if theres any bog .
i suspect this should give ya may be 3 hp,
