My needs are in this order; Ride comfort. Seat comfort. easy steering, accel, hanlding & stability reliability and price. I will trail ride it, I have a bad back so nothing crazy, but I do like accel and power. Occasional yard work. Opinions please.

Acceleration and handling - #1 Can-Am, #2 BF, #3 KQ
Ride comfort, seat comfort, stability and reliability should all be about equal for the three
Price - #1 KQ, #2 BF, #3 Can-Am
Not sure on the ease of steering on the KQ or BF but the Cam-Am is a very light steering effort. I'm closing in on 50 years old and can really appreciate the smoother ride on my Outlander. Yet, if you want to play this thing is amazing - just about unlimited power. If you go with a Can-Am get the XT package. Great savings compared to the individual cost for the extras but one of the extras is higher grade tires. Some of the handling issues on the KQ and BF can be cured by getting aftermarket tires that are heavier duty than the stockers.
All are good quads and will do well for the riding that you say. I've read shootouts where the CAn-Am wins in this bunch, but I've also read shootouts where the BF comes out on top. General feel is that the KQ falls just a little short, even in the new 750 size. But once again - all are good big bore quads. Test sit them all, ride them if you can and go from there. Other than that it's going to come down to price - KQ and BF are close while the Can-Am is more expensive. One thought there - the Can-Am 650 will also out-power the other two for about $900 less than the Outlander 800.

I Have a question for you... Why are you looking at the 7-800 size machines?
IF you have a bad back and are just going to be joy riding on some trails and using it for general yard work you don't NEED all that power.
The large bikes are for speed, or job specific.
I am 52, weighing in at 230 lbs and I have a blast on my Honda 250, but for the work around the yard and snow plowing I have all the power that I need in a KQ 450. It is also is great on the trails - it gives me a much 'Softer' ride than the 250.
You can buy anything that you want - all of the ATVs that you are looking at are great, but if you are never going to USE that extra HP why buy it?

My last quad was a grizzly 660. I want more power than that, and I do use it. I just dont ride fast in rough trails. I am looking for the smoothest ride with most comfy seat.........but will not settle for low power auto tranny quads, they must be big bore. Thanks.

Thank you all for your opinions. I researched these big bore quads very thoroughly and posted on many sites for different opinions and non brand biased concensus. After going to a few dealers and checking all these out up close...and surveying deals, I came to the conclusion of whats best for me. Best all around, and best value. Its also vastly changed for 08. Guesses?

I was close with the suzuki. I just needed more low end than that single could deliver. I went with the BF750i, and got it for same $ as the KQ.
This was all around best bang for me IMO. $6999 OTD delivered to my home. 12 mos warranty. BB shootout winner.
08 much improved ride with revised settings and dual rate springs. New seat. I rode it, its comfy.
Also new; EFI, polished wheels, sealed storage, alum footpegs, bumper design, stronger cv boots.
