Hey all, I am considering buying an 05 vinson from my buddy who hasnt ridden his atv in about 1.5 years. The battery is dead, He used the pull starter to start but the screen stayed blank. It would flash all the numbers like it would on normal start up but then go blank. The backlight did work. Is this just a function of not having a charged battery?

 

Try to charge the bat. and see if it helps.
