Howdy agian,I'm ordering a new pipe for the ol' Lt in the next week or so. So my question is what pipe do you have and how do you like it? My choice will be a Paul Turner, Trinity, LRD, or CT. FMF is not an option.
Thanks, Danno

Apparently since no one's replied to you they all must have FMF. As well i have had fmf on all the lt's i've had, but i have seen the LRD's work very well on sand dragging lt's. With all the motor work you have this might be a good choice. I haven't seen to many Trinity pipes on qracers. What's wrong with your current pipe?

I used to have an FMF pipe/silencer (old gold series) on my 88 LT and then I switched to a Paul Turner (midrange) and I was much happier. It won't scream on top, but it provides plenty of low through mid power. The only problem is I'm not sure if they make one for the 85/86 LTs. However, I do know that LRD makes a pipe for those years and I've heard several good reports about their pipes when used on the newer models.

Thanks, I have spoken with a couple of shops that sell FMF. The guys said that although thay push to sell FMF that none of them have them on their own bikes nor would thhey put them on. With 15yrs. of being an atv enthusiast I have read many articles, dating back to the old ATVSports magazines, what I read and what The shops have told me is that the engine builders (Trinity <did mine>,LRD, CT, Duncan Racining, ect...)Build or have built the best pipes to match the extra performance of the built motor. Alot of peopel that I have presonaly Have spocken with throughout the years that had FMF pipes told me to stay away, so I will heed their warning and not buy one. All of my own personal experience has been with a TRX250R and have only had this bike for about 6 months. So Freddie I'm not bashing your choice, I hope you are happy with your FMF, I just don't want one for my LT. Oh yah, my pipe has a small dent in the first bend after the motor, and rubs on the frame (lots of vibration)

Thanks agian, Danno

Man am I glad I read this post. I have been looking at an FMF pipe for my quad. I was thinking of getting the Fatty Torque. I will have to check out some of these other pipes y'all mentioned. Thanks!
