Default 87' LT250R timing mark question

Hi, guys havent been on here in a while...to make a long sotry short, I traded a snowblower for a basket case 87' 250, motor was all apart in a 5 gallon bucket. Good news is its running and I just ordered the last of the parts. However it vibrates more then it should. I know the counterbalancer timing is off. The crank drive gear had no punch mark on it, that indicates which way it should slide on the crank. I'm pretty sure that my crank has the punch mark in one of the splines, but the mating gear doesnt.

What I need..

If you have your clutch cover off, 87-92 250s should be the same, maybe the 85-86's and not sure about the 500's. I need to know where the punch mark is on the crank when the 2 timing marks on the gears are togather..Example: if the timing marks on the gears are lined up, the timing mark on the crank is at roughly 4 o clock etc. Hopefully this makes sense, thanks.
