Hello,

I have a 1986 lt230s that I bought a month ago and it will not start I have even tried starting fluid and nothing. It has a good spark, And good compression. Does any one know what may be wrong with it?

I never had success with starting fluid even with a quad that runs.

The carb is probably plugged up. Does the spark plug smell like gas? Try pulling the quad around with another quad or car or something to get it running and then adjust the idle. If that don't work, take the carb off and clean all the little holes really well.

You might also try adjusting the intake valve. Do you know much about engines and setting valve lash?
