Default 2008 honda rancher 420

Hey all,
I am in the market for an ATV. I have owned quads for about 10 years but have been out of the game for about 6 years. I was looking at the 2008 rancher 420 4x2 mostly because of the price compared to the 4x4 (I can pick a brand new one up for $3499). I previously owned 1992 Big Bear 350 4x4, 1998 Foreman 400 4x4 and a 2001 Sportsman 500 4x4 and was not really, super impressed with any of them but they were reliable for the most part. I would possibly use it for some very light snowplowing but mostly trail ridding. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Also, does anyone know the top speed?

Just curious but where is a 2WD Honda 420 offered for $1000 below MSRP? Wish I could find those prices out here on the West Coast.

I don't think you can go wrong. The honda's are bullet proof. The rancher, I find anyway, handles very nicely and it is pretty quit the top speed is about 48-50. At least thats what ive seen.

Ehlerding MotorSports or Hayden Honda by any chance? $1000 off MSRP is cheaper then my local Honda Dealer can buy them at dealer cost.

How are they making any profit?

That's still a good price but is that the OTD price or is that the dealer "teaser" price before all the BS dealer add-ons like freight charge, setup charge, convenience charge, road maintenance charge, and obligatory gratuity for everyone at the dealership?

I'm wondering if the rising fuel prices have slowed ATV sales yet. Price at the pump I saw for #2 diesel was $4.29 today. That will most certainly raise freight charges.
