Hi guys I was wondering if an 03 z400 takes special handlebar grips? I noticed there is a screw with a end cap holding the stock grips in place so i removed them and replaced with what i bought and one grip seemed to be loose and the other was keeping the throttle from retracting. Both seemed like they didnt wanna fit right and im wondering if im gonna need new handlebars.

 

Umm.... sounds to me like you bought motorcycle grips. One is bigger than the other for a twist throttle on bikes. The endcaps on the stockers mean nothing. The stock bars are 7/8" & take no special size. I have OURY grips & had to trim some off the ring to get the throttle to not catch.
