Most Reliable ATV?
#1
I am guessing the KingQuad is the most reliable quad in the line since there aren't many posts on here about them. I was looking at getting one and wanted to check into the draw backs and problems that other's might run into and didn't find much compared to other quads on the market.

One reason you don't hear as mutch about them is that there is just not that manny out there compared to the big three that being Honda,Polaris,Yamaha not to say they are a bad quad but just short on #'s sold. The only negitives I'v heard is some steering issues w/ them other than that they are a pretty solid quad!

My brother & I both bought new KQ 700's last feburary, no issues in a years time *except* the battery thing (keep it on a battery tender if it sits for long periods, a month or so without riding). Steering can be "twitchy" at times, you just gotta hang on to the bars.
The things are very comfy to ride, switches are well placed, a GREAT quad in my opinion (but remember I own one). We both (brother & I) looked at every manufacture that made a 4X4 quad, and we sat on & inspected them all. I *ALMOST* bought the Honda Rubicon, just didn't feel a comfortable as the KQ did.
No matter what you buy, something will top it in performance, ride, accessories, ect in a year or 2. Just go with your gut feeling and the one that you feel best suits your style of what your looking for in a quad.....................

And that would be a bad guess.
IMO, the most reliable quads are the simplest quads. It's just common sense. 4WD, power steering, IRS are all components that while they are nice to have, serve to make the quad less reliable overall. Simple things usually just don't break as easily.
It's like when looking at your car, comparing manual crank windows to power windows. I've never had a manual window malfunction but I've had several power windows fail on me. While everyone wants power windows, they are less reliable because they are more complex.
The most reliable quad "in the line" is probably going to be the simplest model using time-tested designs and parts.

I couldn't agree more with GrnXnham. Also, getting something new isn't always the best. Sometimes your just better off buying a simple, rugged 10 year old quad that has lasted that long without any problems.
