Default first quad....ltz 400?

Hey, im looking to but my first atv and at first i was looking into the MIC quads but wised up after doing some homework. My boss at my job has a 2004 or 2005 ltz 400 and he said he will sell it to me for $2000. He said the plastics have some scratches but it runs fine. How is this quad? Im looking for some nice speed, power for some light/medium trails, and something i can just have fun on. Thanks a lot.

They seem to be getting common for $2000 in Florida but I would still say its a great value. A couple of my freinds have them both paid less than that and are both great qauds aside from some maintenance issues but both could have been taken better care of in the past. They are great for trail riding. I might buy one myself for my next quad. The used 450s are getting cheaper but they dont have reverse and I think the Z400 is more comfortable for trai riding when your not running all out.
