Default want opinions from ppl that actually own the z400

hello, you might remember my from the sport quads section a while ago regarding yfz450.i hav passed the yfz because i absolutely need reverse. i asked about the z400 in the sport quads section a while ago and never really got any opinions from the people who actually ride the z.i have rode the z400 and liked it alot but i just thought id ask here becausei want to get rid of my very slow warrior and jump ship.reason im not going to yamaha is they do offer the raptor 350 but its the same as my warrior so the z400 looked perfect.i am 14 and do alot of trails road ditches, jumps, and a little water.i dont really go to the track much becaus nebraska doesnt hav much to offer for tracks.any help is appreciated

I like mine. KFX, but still a Z with different plastic and graphics.

Just ride trails myself, and the only suggestion I would make would be to change the front sprocket to a 13 tooth. Keeps you from shifting so much on the trails as the stock sprocket puts you right between 2nd and 3rd gear most of the time.

Of course, piping it is in the future (I hope) as well as some other mods.

Don't expect it to just go out give a 450 a run for it's money. On the trails, you'll stay with them, but out in the open, they can leave you behind. Not the far, but still plan on the extra dust.

It's a good all around quad for the trails, and when and if you decided to take it on a track, it won't do too bad there either.

I own a Z 03. Personally i think this bike is great. I do a ton of riding... everything from straight aways to trails, crossing rivers and hill climbing. Trust me you will see a big difference going from a warrior to a Z. My best friend owns a 01 warrior and its not even funny how much faster and better handling the Z is even when stock. Also, I tried out the 13th front sprocket and wasn't all that impressed. All in All you wont be regretting the Z if you bought one and with the right mods they will scream down the trials.

Yep. If you look on the left side of the frame just below the clutch, you should see the Suzuki manufacturing sticker.

one place to watch it the front shock mounts ,(the top) if you see any stress cracks in the paint of chipping of the paint then its time to get the kit ,if it breaks ,then you get to buy a new frame
