The G is similar, but different than the S. The parts might work, but it would be a performance decrease for the S.
Any parts from 85-88 are compatible to the 86. You could even use some 89-90 250S parts (which are better, but harder to find).
Bore the 230 out to .060 over and buy the wiseco 10.25:1 piston. That will put you at 243cc and equal to the rest of the 250's out there. While you have it apart, wiggle the rod. If it wiggles side to side too much (which it probably will), your new bore job will not last that long. The right thing to do would be to send your crank off the Vince for a new rod ($130). But if you're young, this might be too much of a job for you.

Iam not want to fix the quad it runs very well and has no motor noise, also i am a cretifed tech in all metric brands from mmi. I was wanting to know if anyone is needing parts for a LT230GE, because i dont need the quad. i already have a good one, but i got this one for a good deal and cant find a driveshaft so i am going to part it out.
Thanks

well i am young but i already invested alot of my own personal money into it and still have a ways to go. i am also able to take my entire atv apart and put it back together. for only 16 i think thats pretty good lol.

Yeah, if you can do all that at 16, I'd be impressed. So, if that's the case, take the crank out and send it to Vince for a new rod. That way, your bore will last a long time and you won't risk breaking a rod either.
Here's a friend of mine's engine after he put a brand new 260 kit in. He only got to ride it a couple hours and BOOM!

This set is another guy I met here on the forums. His rod broke the same week. Kinda scary huh?

This is what mine looks like at the moment

Actually, Vince doesn't sell that suff anymore. He just rebuilds cranks as far as I know. That's how we got to talking.... I called n asked to buy some a-arm bushings, but he didn't have them. He said it would be easier to list what he DID have rather than me asking for things, lol. It was a short list.
Well, I don't know what tools you have or how good you are with mechanics so, I can't say if you should tear into the engine or not. You'll have to take the engine to a shop for them to pull the flywheel unless you want to pay $30 for a puller that you'll only use once. Other than that, the "normal" tools will get it apart. You'll need some way to get the valves out and back in too if you tear it down. Maybe the shop can help you there too. In your case though,,, I'd highly recommend a shop manual for the quad!
