Default 2005 Vinson help

I have a 2005 Vinson 500 and cannot get it to run right. Everytime I hit the gas it acts like its going to die and I have to feather the throttle to get it to run but once in the higher RPM it runs just fine. I have cleaned the carb and the air filter (completely dissasembled and cleaned all jets). I also drained the fuel. When it does die it backfires once very loud. Does this sound like a lean/rich condition and if so, does any one know what the factory air/fuel screw settings are?

Thanks again,

Aaron

My guess is that you missed the trash in the pilot circuit in the carb. I would take the carb back off and check the passages of the pilot circuit (mix. screw, pilot jet, and passages in the body of the carb). How many miles do yu have on it?

Cleaned the Pilot and all others with a wire (before I was using compressed air). Runs like a champ now!

Thanks Guys!
