hello..new to the site and to atvs..

we went riding the other day in shallow creeks and i hit a deep spot...water was about seat high all the way around..i quickly went to 4 wheel drive and reversed out no problem and didnt think anything about it. on the way back to load i couldnt get it to go above 30..on the way there it was going 45 no problem. it never died or anything but just wouldnt go above 30 like it was missing the gear..i took off the plastic tube from the carb i believe and water was shooting out everywhere. im guessing i flooded it but it starts right up. is there anything i need to do besides change the oil? any help is appreciated..its a kingquad 400 4x4 automatic..

 

clean the air filter and change the oil and filter. make sure there isnt dirt in the carb and you should be fine and maybe a new spark plug
