I want to know what other shocks I can put on my 03 Z 400. Since they dont have the adjustability as others do. The 05 and up shocks will work right? What about other quads? I dont what too much crap to modify, just bolt them up and go. Also meaning I dont want to tear my nice Z up. [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img]

 

Yes the '05 and up will work..... I'm not sure what other stockers are an exact match. I think even the LT-R450 shocks would require some modification...... Look on ebay you can often find newer LTZ shocks from 2005 and up for a decent price....

i have had mine on now for 3 years , i really did not appreciate how good they are till i road a buddy's z that still had the stockers ,night and day difference .

 

do you need anything else for the 450r shocks to work on an 03 ltz400? I know a guy selling his shocks and A arms. I didn't know if I would need both or just the shocks. Thanks

 

only the shocks will fit

 

A number of years ago I sent my Z400 rear shock to TCS and they rebuilt it with new springs and valving and it worked 10 times better.

 

ltr450 shocks work also.. theres a few sets on e-bay

 

Cataway did you keep the stock rear shock? also what year 450r did your shocks come from.
