Anybody put chains on a Vinson?
#1
Still looking at that 2006 Vinson. The tires seem pretty big and I'm not sure if there's enough room, especially on the front tires, for chains. I'm just thinking about that long steep driveway and an ice storm. I will have to park my Jeep at the bottom of the hill and it would be nice to be able to go up and down the hill on wheels. What are the disadvantages (or advantages) of chains and do you guys really use them?

Studs are not a bad Idea. Pic up a spare set of wheels and tires. Does not matter the condition of the tires, can be a bit worn. And stud them with as many as you see fit. No need for chains now.
