2009 KingQuad 750AXi
#1
Hi All,
I am looking at purchasing a 2009 KQ 750AXi. I like the Suzuki...and have owned one in the past. I had a '01 QuadRunner LTF-500 and never had a single issue with it. My father-in-law owns it now...and still comments on how well he likes it.
So...I am thinking of upgrading to a larger sized tire on the '09 750AXi. Here are the OEM sized tires:
*Tires Front: AT25 × 8-12, tubeless
*Tires Rear: AT25 × 10-12, tubeless
I'm thinking of going with a 26 tire...all other info being equal. Plus...plan on keeping the stock OEM rims to help save $$$. So...will a 26 fit a stock OEM suspension '09 KQ 750AXi???
Any concern with the CVT Auto tranny? Any issues with the larger tire? Does the speedo read true and accurate with the new 26 tires???
Thanks,
biz

You will not have any suspension or power problems by going from a 25" to a 26" on the KQ. Your speedo will be off though - how much varies depending on what tire you get. Different tire brands will vary in size even if thay are considered a 25" or a 26" etc. My brother has a set of 25" Bighorns that have a larger outside diameter than my stock 26" ACR's on my outlander XT - I could actually go up in tire size by switching from 26" to 25" in this case.

Thanks for the reply. Nice to know the KQ won't have any issues. I was sure hoping the stock OEM rims would work on the 26 size tires. Glad about that too...since it will save me $$.
