I have a cousin who wants a new quad. he's been riding for over 6 years. His last quad was a blaster 200 but he sold it. Would the z400 be good for him? he's about 5'1'' or 5'2'' i'd say and he probably weighs about 130. He looked into the raptor 350 but many people have said that the raptor 350 will have him asking for more power. I looked into the z400 and it seems like a good all-around quad and it has had good reviews. He mostly does open feild riding and some trail riding here and there and maybe a little of jumps. Any replys would be helpful. Thanks in advance!

 

a z400 or 400ex would be my choices over a 350. ik frome experiance a moded z is ahead in power over a blaster, so that would be a plus since he just came off one. some stock 350's can be slow compared to a nicely done blaster. idnt think it would b too much. the 400 series are good trail/race quads

 

I'm with cherokee99. My son went from a blaster to a z400 and raced. It was a good fit for him. The z400 is a great all around quad. You can find them reasonably priced. There are numerous aftermarket parts and modded, they can really move. The smaller raptors (250/350) don't seem to have many aftermarket parts available and what is available is expensive according to one of my buddies who has a 250 for his wife. I have ridden his and can tell you first hand I wouldn't even consider it over the z400! There is no comparison in speed or suspension.
